I have a Panasonic Arc 5 Electric Razor. I find that shaving with an electric razor is very convenient.
When I first got the razor, the shave was very close. As I have used it more and more, the shave became not so close. So I decided to replace the blades.
At $70, I wondered if it was worth it, so I decided to take pictures to visualize the results. Here is my face before I shaved.
I then shared with my blades that were 6 months old.
Then I swapped in new blades and shaved one side of my face.
From this picture, I could see a difference, so I shaved both sides of my face.
I have repeated the process of shaving with the new blades (without one side being shaved with old blades first), and the shave remains close. I hope these new blades also last six months or longer.
So although the replacement blades are somewhat expensive and only last about six months with a beard of my thickness, replacing them does make a difference.
Shaving science is alive in the lab.
