Seismique is an immersive art gallery in the southern part of Houston. I learned about this place on a local TV show called The Texas Bucket List. My wife, Sheryl, and I visited today. Here are photos of some of the exhibits.
The gallery features about 30 rooms, each with its own immersive experience. Some exhibits were more impressive than others. Perhaps this was due to the intentional exploratory nature of the space, but we would have appreciated some textual instructions to accompany the exhibits. Sometimes the user interfaces were challenging to deduce to generate the intended interactive experience.
As mentioned on The Texas Bucket List, the gallery is housed in a building that used to be a Bed, Bath, and Beyond. The gallery founders got rid of the bed and bath but kept the beyond.
Immersive art is in the lab.
