Autodesk Forge is our set of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) that allow our customers and partners to customize their own solutions around their design data. If what archers do is called archery, I guess what Forge developers do is called Forgery. Well, maybe not. How about programming? Yeah, let's call it programming.
Our latest story from the Forge team involves Cadcraft. Cadcraft helped Swedish manufacturer Svedbergs build its web-based product configuration tool, Duschstudio, enabling the company to streamline its order process, eliminate time-consuming custom design drawings, reduce errors, and speed up product delivery. APIs used by Cadcraft include: Design Automation API for Inventor, Data Management API, and the Webhooks API.
Now that's some fine Cadcraft work there. Fun, fun, fun, on the Autobahn.
Autodesk has always been an automation company. Today, more than ever, that means helping our customers automate their design and make processes. We help them embrace the future of making, where they can do more (e.g., quantity, functionality, performance, quality), with less (e.g., energy, raw materials, timeframes, waste of human potential), and realize the opportunity for better (e.g., innovation, user experience, efficiency, sustainability, return on investment). Providing a way to build customized solutions is part of the opportunity for better.
Casting a spell over design data is alive in the lab.
