Merry Christmas. This week, Autodesk employees in the United States have the week off. This week bridges the Christmas and New Year's holidays. It's affectionately known as the week of rest. In days of Christmas past before we implemented the week of rest, most employees took vacation days during this week. The ones who didn't couldn't really get much done because so many people were out of the office. Rather than have employees work at less than 100% productivity, the company established the time off as part of its annual holiday planning.
On Thursday, January 2, 2020, we'll get back to helping our customers automate their design and make processes. We help them embrace the future of making, where they can do more (e.g., quantity, functionality, performance, quality), with less (e.g., energy, raw materials, timeframes, waste of human potential), and realize the opportunity for better (e.g., innovation, user experience, efficiency, sustainability, return on investment). Here's to the opportunity of better in 2020.
Holidays are alive in the lab.
