Merry Christmas. This week, Autodesk employees in the United States have the week off. This week bridges the Christmas and New Year's holidays. It's affectionately known as the week of rest. In years before we implemented the week of rest, most employees took vacation days during this week. The ones who didn't couldn't really get much done because so many people were out. Rather than have employees work at less than 100% productivity, the company established the time off as part of its annual holiday planning.
On Wednesday, January 2, we'll get back to automating our customers' design-and-make processes so they can realize the Future of Making — which enables them to do more, better, with less negative impact on the world.
Holidays are alive in the lab.
