Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
With our pending move to split my time between San Francisco and Houston, I wondered how long do people live in one place? According to Quora, on average, Americans live in the same house for 9 years (or 3285 days). As my Honeywell, GTE, Ithaca Software, Autodesk, Buzzsaw.com, back to Autodesk, Océ Reprographics Systems, and back to Autodesk employment has had our family bounce around a bit, I thought I'd see how we stack up.
With our moves into temporary living while in between homes that lowers our data, we've stayed in our houses for an average of 1091 days. We've moved more than average, about every 3 years, but always for good reason. I love my family, but I also love my work.
