Michele Wolpe, Director of Employee Communications, shared some news. Autodesk's new Portland, Oregon office will open on April 16.
The new Portland office is located about 10 miles from the Lake Oswego office on the shores of the Willamette River. It is comprised of six floors and 70,000 square feet of office space, including a 30,000 square foot residency space that will house an incubator and be a place for our employees to interact with users of our software and the Portland tech community at large.
Initially home to the approximately 200 Autodesk employees who work in Lake Oswego, about 150 of which are developers, with another 50 working in support and marketing, the new site provides opportunities for future expansion and should accommodate additional employees over time. The location also brings Autodesk in closer proximity with Portland's growing technology community, including startups, makers, and industrial businesses; as well as colleges, universities, and museums.
Office movement is alive in the lab.
