On Tuesday night (actually 24 hours from now), I will be attending the technology trends session. I have attended this is years past. This year, it's a little different.
We all know the people who possess seemingly superpowers that enable them to get the job done no matter what. One of our most powerful tools, the digital world, can bring out the superhero in all of us. Want to go back to your office ready to save the day? Are you ready to be the office superhero? If so, then this session is for you.
As digital technologies such as generative design, augmented reality, the internet of things (IoT), and artificial intelligence transform the processes of design, creation, and usage — what will the impact be? Are these technologies changing the way we approach and answer questions about the best way to design or build something? What does this change mean for living, working, and designing in the modern age?
I will be joining my colleague, Autodesk Explorer-in-Residence, Jonathan Knowles, and special guests from Amazon, Intel, HP, and Dell for a fascinating conversation about how this new era is shaping the future of how things are made. Unlike in previous years, before the panel discussion, each company representative will share his thought-provoking take on the future of making things (with slides and everything) and the future of work (including topics like virtual reality).
In addition to getting the information, I will be sure to arrive early for drinks and hors d’oeuvres. :-) I have highlighted this for you below:
Food aside, it's going to be epic.
Trending is alive in the lab.
