As its name suggests, Autodesk ReCap lets you capture and integrate reality data directly into your design process. ReCap and ReCap 360 work with Autodesk design and creation suites, so you can start your design, your renovation, or your retrofit work with accurate 3D scanning data and full photo-quality context.
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 is our preliminary design software that helps improve your project outcomes. You can combine and connect data to create, view, analyze, share, and manage information to make decisions in context. This is a big hit with city planners.

Subject: InfraWorks and ReCap
Good day all,
Just figured I would share some good news on a Friday. Here are some screen shots of Rhode Island LiDAR in ReCap and InfraWorks. Both applications process and visualize this data VERY well in my opinion compared to previous releases.
LiDAR Stats:
48 Tiles
1500m x 1500m tiles
1.0 meter GSD (Ground Sample Distance) or better
Vertical accuracy of 15 centimeters RMSEz or better to support 2' contour
The best part of this story is that it only took my machine 15 minutes to crunch the original ReCap file and another 4 minutes to import and process into InfraWorks! It's a pretty picture that provides value to Autodesk customers.
Enjoying the Journey,
George A. Hatch
Thanks George.
