Project Gaudi for Rhino was our technology preview that provided a structural geometry generator and analysis engine for use as a Rhino plug-in for conceptual design workflows. With this technology preview, a user was able to take a conceptual form as a Rhino mesh, add structural framing systems (trusses, beams, columns, etc.) to the form, analyze this system to see stresses and displacements, and then either return the geometry to Rhino, or send it to Robot Structural Analysis for further analysis and start their BIM workflow with Revit.
For existing users, the technology preview will operate until tomorrow (April 1, 2015 — I am not fooling.) The feedback collection process has ended. Thanks to everyone who participated. When a technology preview ends, one of three things can happen:
In this case, Project Gaudi is in retirement. It may come back at a later date, perhaps in another form?, but it is unavailable for now.
Retirement partying is alive in the lab.
