Project AutoCASE from Autodesk and Impact Infrastructure is a solution for assessing the economic, social, and environmental costs and benefits of proposed infrastructure projects throughout the design process. The first release of Project AutoCASE for Stormwater Management will soon be available as free technology preview on Autodesk Labs and integrates AutoCASE with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 or 2015. This solution will enable users to incorporate comprehensive business case analysis into their planning and design process for stormwater projects. With Project AutoCASE, project stakeholders can rapidly analyze a design’s triple bottom line, compare projects or design alternatives, and prioritize projects for funding.
AutoCASE draws from hundreds of peer-reviewed economic studies to establish the value of project costs and benefits. For green stormwater infrastructure strategies, the value of externalities such as reduced heat stress mortality and reduced CO2 emissions are translated into dollars to reveal the environmental and societal benefits of a more sustainable approach. The methodologies and economic assumptions behind AutoCASE are transparent and can be adjusted to account for local conditions and stakeholder input.

Cost evaluation will be alive in the lab.
