Autodesk Labs is part of the Autodesk Feedback Community. It's the same platform used for the Autodesk Beta program. The Autodesk Feedback Community is undergoing an update to a new release tonight. The maintenance window starts at 7:00 pm tonight and should last until around midnight. When the community comes back online, you will see:
- Addition of avatars in the forums,
- Real names in forums instead of confusing usernames,
- Mobile device compatible access to the Feedback Community, and
- Minor formatting differences and options.
I am looking forward to the avatars. Once y'all upload your pictures, I will be able to see what Autodesk Labs Community members look like. Cool.
Shaan Hurley blogged that we will have more new features to roll out after we make this initial upgrade. We did not want to change too much as part of this migration and are choosing to enable the new features in stages as well as provide instructions to community members. One of those features is the ability to allow everyone in a project to vote on reported issues, wish lists, and discussion threads. We are also working on a revamped login process to be rolled out hopefully by Fall.
Upgrades are alive in the lab.
