As I mentioned in a previous blog post, they say you can bring Mohammed to the mountain or you can bring the mountain to Mohammed. We have a team that is showcasing the design process on the road. Autodesk is sponsoring an RV tour of the United States that celebrates the future of how things are designed and made. Led by TJ McCue, host, writer, and 3D enthusiast, the 3D RV (3DRV) tour is visiting America's cities, towns, and off-the-beaten-path byways to explore a powerful and fundamental change in the way things are designed and made and the implications to business and society at large.
For example, today the 3DRV is in Detroit:
There are future events being planned for Pittsburgh, Boston, and other cities. Here are the invites:
So if you are in Detroit, Pittsburgh, or Boston, please plan on popping by. If not, stay tuned. The 3DRV may be coming soon to a town near you. For example, I believe plans for Houston are already in the works. Attendance is free, and what's not to like about free? Other possibilities include:
- August 27: National Historical sites in Maryland
- September 2: Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.
- September 10: Monticello in Virgina
Travel remains alive in the lab.
