I take the ferry each morning to work. The final part of my commute is a short walk across the street from the San Francisco Ferry Building to our offices at One Market. As I walked the one morning, I saw this on the ground.
I followed the instructions and took this photo:
Apparently this is part of a "No Shitty Photos" campaign:
Apparently tourists who visit New York and San Francisco take really bad photos, so someone is trying to do something about it by marking appropriate spots and suggested camera angles. Is this a public service or graffiti? You decide. But can you imagine the uproar if we marked the spots 360 degrees around an object so it could be captured with a camera and converted into a 3D model using our free 123D Catch or ReCap Photo.
Following directions is alive in the lab.
