The River Analysis Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD Map 3D was our technology preview of a sophisticated river modeling software package that supported HEC-RAS within the AutoCAD environment. This technology preview made it easier than ever before to compute water surface profiles for modeling rivers, bridges, culverts, spillways, levees, floodplain and floodway delineations, stream diversions, channel improvements, and split flows. The technology preview ceased operation on December 31.
Thanks to everyone who took part. You put the pants in participants -- one leg at a time. The team is considering the next step based on the feedback. The possibilities include:
- Extending the technology preview for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 users.
- Creating a new technology preview to collect feedback from AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 and AutoCAD Map 3D 2013 users.
- Making a version of the technology available in the Subscription Center.
The team plans on making a decision regarding next steps this month.
