Architects, engineers, and designers can use Project Geppetto to enrich the context of their presentations with realistic crowds that autonomously navigate their designs. Project Geppetto comes with a set of animations and characters for use in common public settings like sidewalks, hallways, lobbies, and plazas. It is available as a free technology preview for 3ds Max / 3ds Max Design on Autodesk Labs. The latest update is from July 11, 2012.
I learned today that Project Geppetto is in the running for a 3D World CG 2012 Technical Innovation Award.
With over 7,00 employees, Autodesk is indeed a big company, but our company is made up of small teams such as the one that created Project Geppetto. This handful of employees is not too big to appreciate an award like this. They would be honored to receive it. So if you have downloaded and tried Project Geppetto, the team would appreciate your vote. Please do so today. Voting ends tomorrow.
Lobbying is alive in the lab.
