Although I have written at least one blog post every business day since February 14, 2006, all good things come to an end. Actually during my 6-week sabbatical I had guest authors, but this vacation is less than 2 weeks long, so my blog will go silent until my return. As I mentioned yesterday, showing up for work is the first step in blogging.
My wife, Sheryl, and I are off to Italy for a vacation. When I was 6 years old, my family went to South America. When I was working on Autodesk Volo View, Jason Pratt and I visited customers in London. When I was working as a DWF Technical Evangelist, I manned a booth at an HP printing conference in Malta. While working for Océ I visited the Netherlands twice. Recently I spent one day in Cozumel as part of a Rock Boat cruise. Other than that, I have stayed in the United States. It's high time I see the world.
UPDATE: Unfortunately we have had to cancel our trip. My wife visited her father at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She was with him when he passed.
Travel will one day be alive in the lab.
