"People. People who need people. People who need people are the luckiest people in the world."
"People," Barbra Streisand, 1964.
Forget people who need people. 3D scenes need people!
Inspired by The Adventures of Pinocchio where a wooden puppet comes to life as a real boy, Project Geppetto is a technology preview that explores making it easy, fast, and fun to add crowds to 3ds Max scenes. Project Geppetto is a data-driven animation system that offers high level control of plausible human motion. Creating and editing crowds is done using simple geometric shapes and paths. It comes with a set of animations for use in common settings like sidewalks, hallways, lobbies, and plazas. Architects, engineers, and designers can use Project Geppetto to enrich the context of their design presentations with realistic human activity.
So please give this one a try and let us know what you think at [email protected]. We are just people who need people like you to help shape the future of our technology.
Crowd sourcing is alive in the lab.
