The LaunchPad Technology Preview accelerates design efforts by providing quick and easy access to Product Design Suite applications, project data, and workflows. The one-click workflows allow you to focus on the task at hand, rather than the tool or application, by automatically preparing your design data in the Suite environment that is most appropriate to your task.

LaunchPad for Product Design Suite on Autodesk Labs

At Autodesk Labs we conduct technology previews to get feedback. We want to know the viability of a technology early in its lifetime. We try to minimize our efforts in case customers deem that the technology is not suited for computer aided design. For this technology preview, the installer only recognizes applications if they were installed as part of Product Design Suite. Based on your feedback at [email protected] or the discussion forum, should this technology evolve into a production offering, a fancier installer could detect the presence of Autodesk applications regardless of how they were installed.

To quote the rock band INXS, "Here is what you need, what you need..." to have installed as part of Product Design Suite for a workflow to be enabled.
