Unless you've been living under a rock someplace, you've probably heard about Project Photofly - our technology preview that converts 2D photographs into 3D models.
One of the convenience features of the Photo Scene Editor, a small application that you use to work with the Project Photofly web service, is that it will create and publish a video to YouTube for you. It uses the camera location of each of your submitted pictures as a key frame and combines them to make an animation. Several users have leveraged this capability to share what they have been able to create using Project Photofly. Since the videos are silent, song lyrics just pop into my head as I watch them.
"I won't talk. I won't sing. They call me render, the shaper of things." - Gary Numan
"Hey armadillo what you doing in the garden?" - Elton John
"Woke up this mornin', feelin' 'round for my shoes 'cause you know that I got these old walkin' blues" - Robert Johnson
"In our little cabin home on the hill..." - Elvis Presley
"That's the way that the world goes 'round. One minute you're up and the next you're down" - John Prine
"There's a feelin' runnin' through ya, smilin' like a Buddha." - Railroad Earth
"Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree..." - Tony Orlando
"I know somewhere a monument stands in the name of our love." - Utopia
Watching proudly is alive in the lab.
