We get it. Social Media is everywhere and is here to stay. So for those of you who would like to share your designs using Social Media, there is a new technology preview just for you. This technology preview allows you to share your Inventor models on Facebook and YouTube. It is compatible with Inventor Publisher 2012 SP1 or SP2.

Originally an Autodesk Labs technology preview from our Manufacturing Division, Inventor Publisher is innovative, easy-to-use technical documentation software for creating 2D printed and 3D interactive product documentation.

Inventor Publisher lets non-CAD users (e.g., non-technical people who are more familiar with programs like PhotoShop than they are with CAD) easily work with many different types of CAD data to create highly visual and compelling 2D and 3D interactive technical documentation. So the cool thing about this tech preview is that it lets users take the animated assembly, disassembly, installation, maintenance, etc. documentation created in Inventor Publisher, and put that onto the web as a movie on sites where people are most familiar with going to get movie content: YouTube and Facebook.
