Corridor Solids for AutoCAD® Civil 3D is a technology preview that creates solids from AutoCAD Civil 3D Subassembly shapes that are contained in an AutoCAD Civil 3D Corridor Models. By creating solids from subassembly shapes, representative real-world objects such as tunnels, retaining walls, and pavement layers can be more easily used for visual analysis, design verification, and construction coordination.
The technology preview actually generates AutoCAD body objects. We have heard consistent feedback that you would like ACIS solids instead of the bodies. To help us understand the problem that you're trying to solve, can you provide some specific examples of what you would do with the solids that you cannot do with the AutoCAD bodies? Let us know at [email protected].
Inquisition is alive in the lab. (No one expects the Autodesk Labs inquisition!)
