According to Wikipedia, Mr. 3000 is an American sports comedy movie starring Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett. The film's plot surrounds a retired Major League Baseball player who makes a comeback at age 47 solely to attain 3,000 hits.
Fellow Autodesk blogger, Shaan Hurley (mrcadman), is offering a gift to his 2000th Twitter follower. His current count is very close to that number. This morning I noticed that I too was close to that same number. Twitter user MrJacks0n noticed that Lynn Allen (lynn_allen) was also close. So I tweeted about it to see who would win - a friendly competition.
Randall Newton became my 2000th Twitter follower (scottsh115) using his GfxSpeakRSN Twitter account. I guess he has earned the name Mr. 2000.
