Autodesk Labs Software Architect, Ben Cochran, supplied me with a blog article posting.
Have you wanted to try out a new application or tool but didn't want to go through the hassle of downloading and installing? Personally, I like projects, and I especially like projects when I have the opportunity to learn new techniques and use new tools. For me this is true when working on physical things like motorcycles and when working with the computer. When on the computer, the problem I have with trying new tools is that some of the best tools take hours to download and install. By the time I download and install the trial of an application, I have moved on to my next idea, meeting, etc.
This is one of the motivations behind the Twitch Application Trials on Autodesk Labs.

Project Twitch is a different type of app trial that allows you to start trying out an application in minutes without downloading or installing it. Today AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and Maya are available to try out this way. If you find yourself working on a project wondering, can AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, or Maya help me? Start up the Twitch Application Trial and see for yourself. You can share your thoughts with us at [email protected].
Thanks Ben.
