Last month we added a new exhibit to our Gallery at One Market. Like our Brokk exhibit, the RKS Guitars exhibit came to us from our gallery in Lake Oswego.
Musical instruments need to be ergonomically designed for comfortable play. Designing guitars is a challenge because they have no flat surfaces. RKS Guitars are unique in that they provide customers with options that allow them to select color, finish, materials, shape, and even sound.

The Autodesk software used to make RKS guitars:
- Autodesk AliasStudio // more
Autodesk AliasStudio allowed RKS to create, manipulate, and experiment with shape and styles in numerous iterations. Using "neck through body" construction, interchangeable aluminum or wood ribs, and molded body shells, RKS created the first-ever, open-ended hollow-body electric guitars and basses. This modular approach to guitar design is what gives RKS the freedom to let their customers make choices suited to their tastes.
We are happy to have this addition to our gallery.
The gallery is open to the public on Wednesdays from 12 pm to 5 pm, and admission is free. Visit us.
Listening to the sound that is not in the music is alive in the lab.
