The Firefox Add-on for Autodesk Design Review lets you view HTML pages, that have DWF files embedded in them, with Firefox. Without the add-on this functionality only works with Internet Explorer. It is an add-on to your already-installed Autodesk Design Review. The team updated this add-on so it is compatible with Autodesk Design Review 2011.

Please note that in order to function, the Firefox Add-on for Autodesk Design Review relies on the "Internet Explorer Browser Control" to be installed on the system. This is not exactly the same as Internet Explorer itself. So even though you may be using Firefox exclusively as your browser to navigate to various locations on the internet, Microsoft considers the "browser control" to be part of the operating system independent of "the Internet Explorer browser." In other words, Internet Explorer must be installed on your system so that Autodesk Design Review can open files (e.g. DWF or DWFx) over the internet even if you are not using Internet Explorer for web browsing.
