Most technologies on Labs have a Try it button so you can try the technology preview of the service. Others have a Download Now button so you can download the installer for the technology preview of the utility. Project Showroom is an interesting situation that requires more than one button:
- We have the original technology preview of the service at http://showroom.labs.autodesk.com that allowed us to simulate a shopping experience where images required 4 seconds to generate.
- We have the Kitchen/Bathroom Industry Show mockup of what Showroom would look like if it were embedded in the Jenn-Air manufacturer site at http://jennair.showroom.labs.autodesk.com.
- We have the live integration on the Dacor site. The integration appears in two places - a style viewer where you can see combinations of appliances in a traditional kitchen at http://www.dacor.com/StyleViewerHost.aspx and the ability to see individual appliances at http://www.dacor.com/ProductSelectorHost.aspx.
With this in mind, I have updated the Showroom page on the Autodesk Labs site.
Thanks to Senior Product Marketing Manager, Jim Wilson, who provided the text for the page and helped me work it out.
Presenting the "still there" and "graduated" versions of technology previews is alive in the lab.
