The technology preview of the RDB Link Tool for Revit has come to an end. The executable expired on January 1. Thanks to everyone who provided encouragement and feedback.
We certainly got some great suggestions. There is an upgraded version of this tool (Revit DB Link) available to Subscription customers who wish to replace the limited Labs trial. Users not on subscription have another alternative. RDB Link started life as a free code sample shipping with every release of Revit and can be found in the Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK is installable from the Tools and Utilities region of Revit’s setup dialog. Anyone with some degree of .NET programming experience in Revit and a Visual Studio compiler (including the free Express version for C#) should be able to set up that alternative.
