Yesterday we released the technology preview of Project Butterfly which provides the ability to edit DWG files on the web using your browser. Project Butterfly is the result of work done by Autodesk and a company we recently acquired called PlanPlatform (VisualTao). Hence, at this time Project Butterfly has a its own registration system that is separate from the Autodesk Single Sign-on login; however, registering with Project Butterfly is easy.
-
Navigate your browser to http://butterfly.autodesk.com.
-
Click on Architecture & Engineering, Mechanical, or Geospatial to chose your area of interest.
-
After the sample drawing comes up, click on Register in the upper right.
-
Simply provide your email and name. Pick a password. Click on Create My Account.
Once registered Project Butterfly can help you securely manage and share your DWG files on the web. We may integrate Project Butterfly with the Autodesk Single Sign-on login at some point in the future. In the mean time we are eager to get your feedback on the functionality of Project Butterfly at [email protected] now.
