As some of you may have noticed, I started working on this yesterday. I normally use an RSS reader to read blogs. For It's Alive in the Lab, I sometimes use Internet Explorer just to make sure the web site HTML looks OK. I use Internet Explorer 7. I was using Internet Explorer 8, but had too many problems - even with compatibility mode.
I reverted back to IE 7. Other developers have not had this problem - so maybe it is just my system. It certainly warrants further study.
Recently I decided I wanted to be one of the cool kids, so I added the AutoCAD Exchange to my blog. Many of the technologies on Labs are related to AutoCAD.
When I did so, Internet Explorer would complain:
This seems so odd. Of course I want to allow it - that's why I added the AutoCAD Exchange to my list of trusted sites. What an annoyance. I searched the web and learned that you can turn this annoyance off with:
- Select Tools->Internet Options
- Select the Security Tab
- Select the Trusted Sites icon
- Click on the Custom level... button
- Scroll down and Enable Websites in less privileged web content zone can navigate to this zone
Perhaps you would like to do this too?
Sunith Babu of CAD Professor suggested that we create an Autodesk Labs Exchange. Thoughts?
Making it easier to read this blog is alive in the lab.
