Architecture for Humanity is one of Autodesk Labs' favorite organizations. We have worked closely with them as part of their Open Architecture Network. Architecture for Humanity is sponsoring a 2009 Open Architecture Challenge focusing on the classroom
People who visit Autodesk Labs are on the cutting edge. Architecture for Humanity has invited cutting edge people like you, who use Autodesk products day-in/day-out, to work with students and teachers to design the classroom of the future for a school of your choosing. If your design wins, your school will receive up to $50,000 in funding for classroom construction and upgrading. You will receive a grant of $5,000 to help them do it. At Autodesk Labs, we hope Project Freewheel can play a part in the sharing of your designs with teachers and students.
Looking forward to seeing the winning architecture that helps humanity is alive in the lab.
