Greetings from the Autodesk Seek team!
We're actively seeking user input on key building products that will make Autodesk Seek an integral part of the design process. As the source of information to the community of Autodesk users, we'd like to send you this quick update once a quarter, or whenever something big happens. We want you to be the first to know what’s happening with content updates, site improvements, features, etc. Please let us know what you think.
Seek is a web service currently available to U.S. based users of Autodesk applications. Architects, designers, engineers and others can contact directly at [email protected].
The business case for manufacturers is clear – product lines that are easier for designers to use are more likely to be specified.

Usage is Growing
Since our launch in April, we've seen a steady and significant increase in user traffic. Over the past few months alone, since our May launch, tens of thousands of Autodesk Seek users have downloaded tens of thousands of Revit and AutoCAD design files. Check it out.
New Content Information
Reed Construction Data upload complete
Our partners continue to work as an important source of building product information made available through Autodesk Seek. Along with recent loads from BIMWorld and McGraw-Hill Construction, we recently completed an upload of nearly 1,200 high-quality parametric BIM objects from Reed Construction Data, representing nearly 17,000 products.
To date, nearly 1,200 manufacturers are represented through Autodesk Seek. In addition, we’ve made new product information – containing Revit models – available from Architectural Mailboxes, Pilkington (Glass), Safety Rail Source, USG, Visa Lighting, Whirlpool Corporation, Winco Window ,and Zero Flush (Urinals). Look for more exciting news on content additions in the coming weeks.
What’s Coming
Look for a major redesign of Autodesk Seek coming soon. Enhancements will include:
- More complete, integrated and visually appealing UI
- Easy access to product information via “quick links” on the homepage
- Manufacturer and supplier news
- Content updates
Thanks,
The Autodesk Seek team
