Senior Manager of our Customer Briefing Program, Jason Medal-Katz, had the pleasure to announce that our newest briefing center, Autodesk Gallery at One Market, or simply The Gallery, is now open. This space in San Francisco is dedicated to showcasing examples of great work by Autodesk customers - designers, architects, engineers, and digital artists - offering an inside look at their processes and highlighting the role of Autodesk software. The facility also serves as a customer briefing center and includes a design technology lab, a scholar in residence studio, and meeting space for industry events.
The Gallery is a wonderful celebration of our customers’ work and the role that Autodesk plays in the process. I have uploaded some pictures:
Very few people know that Jason was the one who came up with the name "Buzzsaw" as in Buzzsaw.com. Jason wanted to cut through "the red tape." Several weeks ago, we started a contest for Autodesk employees worldwide to help us name this new facility. The response was overwhelming, with over 1,000 entries submitted. We received some very entertaining submissions like Kungfu ADSK, Liquid Suitcase, Macrocyclic Habitat, Epiphaneum, and Velvet Sea. I really liked Epiphaneum. In the end, we selected a name that fits the new space very well.
