In a previous blog posting, Updated Visual Search Now Available, I talked about Visual Search. I noted how you can set up your own visual search space. When you set up your own visual search space, you have control as to what appears in the top section of your search space. With the last update of visual search, you can now include video in the top section of your page. For example, you can include a YouTube or Google video where the marketing image is normally located. You have 3 options:
- marketing image (520 by 150 pixels)
- marketing image (340 by 150 pixels) plus video
- just video
If a picture is worth 1000 words, how much is a video worth? Try setting up your own search pages with interesting videos and send us your URLs: [email protected]. We'd love to see what you've done.
Thinking visually is alive in the lab.
