I have been testing Project Freewheel with Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1:
So far, everything has been working well. We are excited about the 6 connections per host capability. We will consider leveraging this to possibly boost performance. The developer tools that accompany IE8 are also exciting because they provide us with a more powerful debugging environment. In my testing, the weirdest thing that happened is that I wanted to download and install the Firefox 3 Beta on the same machine, but IE8 would not download the installer unless I reverted to "Emulate IE7" mode. Perhaps it was browser envy? :-) If you are developing with IE8 and Project Freewheel, please let us know of your experiences: [email protected].
Staying abreast of browser changes is alive in the lab.
