Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert comic, has a blog. The other day he specified what he thought would be the ultimate house.
When I read his posting, I thought "I need to diagram this in Project Draw." But before I could do so, Scott provided his own hand-drawn sketches.
Ultimate House Plan (take two)
Nevertheless Project Draw Software Developer, David Falck, and I used drag and drop shapes from the floor planner and kitchen/bath palettes to recreate Scott Adam's sketches with Project Draw. Take a look at what we have done:
A key ingredient to ease of use was being able to align objects using the grid or using the arrow keys to move selected objects one pixel at a time. Using software, without installing anything extra, to quickly sketch 2D floor plans is alive in the lab. Does anyone have any idea as to what this would look like in 3D? Care to mock something up and load it into Project Freewheel? I dare ya. No, I double dare ya. Let us know if you do: [email protected].
