Director of Industry Public Relations, Paul Davis, reports that last spring Autodesk compiled a short grid about our support for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and how our 2008 products functioned within the OS. Last year was a transition year and not all of our technologies offered native Windows Vista support. After initially highlighting this basic data on the Support website, we have since developed the attached white paper which provides a feature/benefit overview of Autodesk’s major products on Windows Vista. This may be used as a one-stop, easy-reference tool for the Field, as well as customers, partners and staff.
Special thanks go out to Jeff Kowalski, Alan White, Kelcey Lemon, Kelly Miller, Adam Strafaci, Scott Reese, Kevin Tureski, Simon Bosley, Shane Griffith, and Joan Allen – all of whose careful input and review were critical in crafting an accurate document. Worldwide marketing's Maria Castro provided invaluable support in shepherding this months-long project through various divisions and approvals.
We hope you’ll find this document a useful tool. Clarifying application operation with Windows Vista is alive in the lab.
