The use of Project Freewheel 1.0.1 and the 3D/2D ShareNow Add-in for AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit has been astounding. People are really liking the new release. Here's some of the feedback we've gotten so far.
- The ShareNow Add-in for AutoCAD supports the English version of AutoCAD. Our non-English users are anxious to get in on the action. The ShareNow Add-in for AutoCAD supports vanilla AutoCAD. Our users of the industry specialized versions of AutoCAD, e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D, also want to get in on the action.
- The ShareNow Add-in for Revit selects the first version of Revit it finds. (This is default Microsoft installer behavior.) Our users with side-by-side installations versions of Revit on the same computer want it to locate their copy of Revit 2008.
- Selecting Full View while in a sharing session kicks a user out of the session. Collaboration participants want to be able to go to Full View and continue with the current session. (We have since fixed this.) Once in Full View, the browser BACK button takes a user back to embedded mode but with the default design. Users want to alternate between Full View and embedded.
- Markups applied to a 3D design do not pan, zoom, and orbit with the model. Once a user navigates away from a markup, the markup can only be located again by using the Markup Browser. Hitting the backspace button when working with markups does not delete the markup. Backspace acts like a browser BACK button and navigates out of the session.
