At the end of a technology preview, a team can:
- Make the technology available in Subscription Center with no time-bomb.
- Extend the technology preview to collect more feedback. An update is posted with a new time-bomb.
- Retire the technology if the amount and sentiment of the feedback indicates that a team could spend its time on something more viable. It could come back at a later date.
The FABmep Import for Revit MEP was our technology preview that enabled users to import Autodesk Fabrication FABmep models into Revit MEP, providing round-tripping capabilities for as-built/record drawing purposes. The original technology preview has ended. Thanks to everyone who downloaded the technology preview:
and provided feedback:
By the numbers, to date this was not our most popular technology preview; however, there are some customers who find real value in what it provides, and the team would like to continue to hear from them. So the team is extending the technology preview. They have decided to continue to get feedback from 2013 users. Revit MEP 2013 users can download it from the Autodesk Labs site.
The new expiration date for this technology preview is March 31, 2014 so there is plenty of time to complete your evaluations.
Continued requests for feedback are alive in the lab.
