In addition to using both on the web, I have Pixlr-O-Matic on my iPhone and iPad. While on a recent flight to Houston, I experimented with it.
I found it easy to add overall coloring effects, special effects, and give my images interesting borders. You too should give it a try. You can even buy additional effects. For $0.99, I opted to get a set of firework effects:
It makes me think "Why would I ever post just a regular picture on Facebook again?" It's so easy to get fancier.
