At Autodesk Labs, we appreciate feedback. Of all the email we receive, one of the frequently asked questions is "Is the utility on Autodesk Labs compatible with the 2009 version of my Autodesk application?" For the most part, the answer is overwhelmingly yes. For a few, based on demand as evidenced by user feedback (labs.maya.dwg@autodesk.com, labs.acad.drawing.cleanup@autodesk.com, and labs.iv.xvl@autodesk.com), we can consider updating them in a future release. For some utilities, the utility has even been included in the 2009 release. The table below provides the specifics:
In addition to vanilla AutoCAD, the 3D/2D ShareNow Add-in is also compatible with the 2009 English versions of: AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Land Desktop, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Mechanical, and AutoCAD P&ID.
The data files from the Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 are compatible with Autodesk Inventor 2009; however, the Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 cannot be installed on a system where Autodesk Inventor 2009 has already been installed.
The Frame Generator Customization Tool and Translator Add-ins for Autodesk Inventor have been included with the Autodesk Inventor 2009 32-bit release. You do not need to download and install them separately. Support for 64-bit can be considered for a future release.
The 2D to 3D Tool for Autodesk Inventor is compatible with the 32-bit versions of Autodesk Inventor.
Spelling out the compatibility between Labs utilities and our newest Autodesk applications ins alive in the lab.
